Train Ride with Santa

Every year, a friend of mine hosts a train ride with Santa at their home.  Santa rides in on a train and then the kids get to take photos with Santa and ride the train.  We went this year right before Christmas and the kids had a blast with all their friends.  Santa was the real deal and everyone (except for Sara) loved him.  Here are a few pictures.

Christmas Day

Santa was here!  It's only 6am but we are all up in the Dugas household!  Even if we tried to stay in bed longer, there was no hope of sleeping with three little munchkins bouncing all over us eager to get downstairs and see what Santa brought them.

 Jack..are you awake yet?
Yes..that is Will outside in December in shorts and a t-shirt and no it wasn't that warm but he had to try out everything Santa brought him.

After the excitement from the morning died down, the rest of the family joined us for Christmas dinner at our house.

Baby James' 1st Christmas!

The Real Santa

We finally made a visit to the real Santa at the North Pole (aka Bass Pro).  Unfortunately Will was at school but Sara and Jack got to tell Santa one final time what they wanted for Christmas. We made a breakthrough with Sara, she was willing to stand next to Santa without crying.  I guess all the Santa sightings and visits has eased her fear a bit...but still not enough to sit on his lap.

Only two more days until Christmas Eve!!  The kids are bouncing off the walls in excitement.  They can't wait.

Season of Sharing

Will's class had a season of sharing party for family and friends.  They kids each wrote about their favorite Christmas tradition and then read about it in front of the class.  The kids did so well standing up in front of everyone and even got to use a microphone.  Will wrote about picking out and decorating our Christmas tree.  Check out his (short) story below.
