10 Months!

Happy 10 month birthday Sara!  I know I say the same thing each month...it's hard to believe another month down and only two more to go until the big birthday.  Sara has changed so much so I'll stop here and just give you a run down of all the fun things that went on this month with Sara.

1. Sara finally learned to crawl! Just a couple weeks shy of turning 10 months she did it. Now that she realizes how easy it is to crawl, she is EVERYWHERE!

2. One day after learning to crawl, she figured out how to pull herself up and then the next day figured out how to "cruise" around the furniture.  Now there is no stopping her and she is everywhere her little legs will take her.

3. She has 4 teeth....2 on top and 2 on the bottom.  And two more on top have just popped through.
5. Her curly hair is out of control especially with all the humidity we've had this summer.  I have a feeling the curls will go away once we cut her hair but for now they are really cute.

6. She is eating lots of "grown up" food.  She loves cut up bananas, blueberries and pancakes.  She also eats chicken nuggets, macaroni & cheese, ravioli and meatballs.
7. She talks like crazy and loves to giggle at her brothers.  She is their best audience and they'll do anything to get a giggle out of her.  Including hitting themselves in the face.

8. Sara is a happy and easy going baby.  She fits right into whatever we are doing and just goes with it, nap or no nap.  However, I can tell she is going to be able to hold her own in this family.  If her brothers are trying to take something from her or they are blocking her from something, she makes it know she is not happy and keeps at it until she gets what she wants.  As some woman at the beach said, she is an independent woman!  LOL

We have a Climber

Four Wheels and No Brakes

Sara just started walking the other day with the help of her walker.  Once she gets going there is no stopping her!  She is on a mission and is so proud of the fact the she can walk with her brothers.  It's only a matter of time before she is walking entirely on her own.

Blueberries

We enjoyed a little afternoon blueberry picking at the local farm.  The boys did all the picking and Sara and I just walked down the rows eating all the blueberries.

Success!

Now that I am no longer working, I am trying to take advantage of the Cape as much as possible during the week days.  However, that means going to the beach by myself with all three kids.  Today we had our first solo beach trip and let's just say I was a little nervous of how this was going to play out.   It took us an hour to get ourselves ready to get out of the house and I was very strategic in my packing.  We made it to the beach, unloaded and enjoyed a good solid 2 hours swimming and having a few snacks.  All in all it was a successful first trip!  Now let's just hope it wasn't beginners luck.....

Nantucket Bound

After spending a week at the Cape, we headed off to Nantucket with friends.  I've never been to Nantucket (or if I did it was a looooong time ago and I don't remember it) so I was looking forward to the vacation.  We rented a house for the week just a short distance from the town and beaches.  Unfortunately we didn't have the best weather while we were there and starting on Wednesday it was pretty much rainy and cloudy for the rest of our stay.  We had a bit of cabin fever going on but we made the best of it while we were there.  Here are some pictures from the week.

Bon Voyage!

Day 1 on the beach was beautiful!

Amanda and I rented a paddleboard for an hour.  It was my first time on one but it was pretty easy to pick up.

One night we went to a carnival on the island.  Jack had a blast going on all the rides.  Will on the other hand was so pre-occupied with the games and winning a prize that he missed out on all the rides.

After a couple days of bad weather, it cleared up a little so we headed to the beach to try and take advantage of the what little sun we had while it was out.

Sara was not liking the wind or the picture taking.

Last day and it finally cleared up so we could enjoy the beach!

A final group picture before we left.  We had a fun week and look forward to going back at some point soon!
