On the Move

We officially have a walker!  Sara took her first steps yesterday and is getting braver as the days go on.  She still prefers crawling over walking since she can get from point A to point B a lot faster.  But she is now standing up and walking all on her own without me making her do it. Take a look!

We threw a surprise birthday at the cape for my dad's 65th birthday.  He was surprised (or so he says!) and eveyone had fun celebrating on a beautiful day enjoying the sun and water.

We had a beautiful weekend at the cape and enjoyed some paddle boarding and kayaking!

 Will turned into a quite a little swimmer this summer and even practiced a little diving and some cannonballs!

Last Day at School

Somehow I forgot about this post.  The boys last day at school (aka daycare) was back at the end of June.  They had been going there since we moved back to MA almost 4 years ago.  I was dreading the last day because I knew I would be a mess.  I was sad to think that they wouldn't see their buddies anymore and sad to leave all the wonderful teachers.  I started the waterworks the minute we walked through the door for drop off, and was even more of a mess when I picked them up to leave.  Fortunately the boys didn't seem to be too bothered by it and were ready to go bouncing out the door at the end of the day.  We had such a wonderful experience at Bright Horizons I feel fortunate to have found such a great place for the boys.

As sad as I was to leave, I know we have lots of new ventures ahead of us.  Kindergarten starts in a couple weeks as does Jack's new preschool.  I'm sure the waterworks will start again when I watch Will walk onto the bus, but I'm also so excited for both of them to start this new and exciting chapter in our lives!

Beautiful day for a boat ride

We had a fun weekend with friends enjoying a little boating, fishing and crabbing.  I think we had one of the best days weather wise of the summer.  It was beautiful out and I didn't want the day to end!  This was the boys first time on a boat and they had a blast especially since they were with their good friends Kieran and Molly.  We started off with a little trip around the Falmouth harbor with a stop at the beach for lunch and a little playing.

Before we left, we took the kids for a ride around on the tube.  Jack wouldn't go on it but the other kids loved it.

Before dinner, we took one more ride and stopped to do some crabbing.  Such a fun day!!

Mini-Golfer

I got to enjoy some one on one time with my little guy.  We went mini-golfing and Jack got his first hole in one!

And He's Off!

This was the summer Will was going to learn to ride his bike with no training wheels.  We had all intentions of doing this at the beginning of the summer and here we are already in August!   Fortunately, Will seemed pretty open to the idea of no training wheels and there wasn't any hesitation in taking them off.  However, after our first couple of attempts, I was starting to get concerned that he was going to have training wheels on until he was 8.  Eric gave it another try today and something just clicked with Will and off he went down the street.  We still have a little more practicing to do in the stopping department but we are so proud of him!!  Check him out.....

Ice Scream...You Scream....

We all scream for ice cream.  And what better place to eat it than on the beach watching the sunset and listening to the waves!  As you can see from the picture, Jack was excited about it!
