Preschool Graduate!

I can't believe our Jack is graduating preschool and moving onto kindergarten!  How is that possible?  He has been my little buddy for the past two years while Will has been off at school.  I'm not ready for him to leave me yet!   I always tell him I am going to lock him up in his room and not let him go to school because I don't want him to leave.  He gets a kick out of me saying that and always giggles and yells that he has to go to school.  But seriously, I'm going to be sad come September since he has been my sidekick for the past two years.  But for now, congrats to our graduate.  We are proud of you!

Daddy Caddy

If you didn't already know, Will and Jack (more so Will) LOVE to play golf.  So when they had their chance to play in a kids golf tournament, they were beyond excited.  The best party was that the dad's were the caddies for the kids. They played 4 holes and when the scores were tallied, Will came in 2nd place!  We definitely have a couple future golfers on our hand, which makes Eric very happy.

Lemonade for Sale!

Ahh...summer.  Warm weather...shorts....and of course, lemonade stands!!  The boys set up their first lemonade stand the other day with friends down the street.  They had prime real estate and surprisingly had a lot of customers!  At the end of the day they made $15 dollars that they got to split amongst the 4 of them so they were ecstatic.  Will had big plans for his money and is donating it to the American Heart Foundation fundraiser through his school. While it is great that he wants to donate the money, I think his primary driver is that he wins a rubber duck on a lanyard (there goes the competitive, prize winning nature in him:-)   The boys now have the lemondate stand bug and are already asking when they can have another one.  We may have to offer some additional inventory...cookies maybe?

Outstanding

The other day Will came home with a certificate from his teach for being "oustanding" that day at school. I asked him how one gets to be outstanding and he told me that if you listen to the teacher, complete your work, and have overall have good behavior for the day, the teacher rewards you with an outstanding certificate.  So I challenged Will to try and reach outstanding two days in a row and I would get him a prize.  Well...Will and his competitive nature took that challenge and topped it by reaching outstanding 5 days in a row.  On his 5th day, he got off the bus with his certificate and said in a casual tone, it's so easy to get to outstanding.   If Will puts his mind to something, he can do it!  Go Will!
