Finally Sara's day came for her first day of school. She has been so excited ever since the boys went off to school. She woke up in the morning and insisted on wearing her backpack around the house until she went to school. As I was taking her out of the car at school she looked up at my and said "Mommy, I'm so happy!". When I picked her up at school and as we were walking back to car, she said again, "I'm so happy!" Couldn't have asked for a better first day!

Happy Birthday Sara!
Happy Birthday to our sweet and sassy 3 year old! The past three years went way to fast but we have loved every minute of watching you grow into a smart, loving, strong, independent and happy 3 year old. You love your dolls and doing anything girly, yet you can hold your own with the boys and don't let anyone push you around. We love you more than words. Happy birthday!!

Last Hurrah!
We headed to the Cape for Labor Day weekend. None of us were quite ready to give up the beach even though school started the week before. It was supposed to be a beautiful long weekend so we headed to Eastham to enjoy a few more days on the beach before having to officially hang up the beach towel. It was nice to relax one final time before the craziness of school and schedules began. Everyone had fun and we already can't wait for next summer!
Of course we had to get a few more ice creams from Ms. Nicki and got a trip inside the ice cream truck.
Lobsters for dinner!
Everyone loves a good sand castle stomp
And of course there was quite a few games of pickle.
So long summer...we will miss you!

First Day of School
Summer's over and schools back in session. I can't believe it. The boys were excited to get the school year started. Definitely no hesitation on the part of either of them. Me on the other hand was having a hard time of letting summer go. But here we are already a week and a half into school as I write this and it feels like summer was ages ago. We are already right back into the swing of schedules, homework, sports and more. Here's to a great school year!
When did he get so grown up and handsome! Ahhh!
This one with the contagious smile. He never stops smiling! Mrs. Griffin is going to fall in love with him.
Pretend like you like each other boys....
That's better!
Because touching always has to lead to wrestling...
For his first "unofficial" day of school, Jack and I got to spend a couple hours together in his classroom getting to know his teacher, classmates and explore the classroom. Jack has the same teacher that Will had in kindergarten so he was very excited which I think helped make the transition into kindergarten a little bit easier.
Day 2...Jack's "official" first day as a kindergartener riding the bus. I still can't believe the day has come that he will be at school all day long. I definitely cried when he got on the bus. I will miss my hanging out buddy.
Good luck Jack! We love you!

Summer of the Diva
I know I already mentioned this in my previous post but this summer Sara perfected her diva pose for pictures. Whenever I ask Sara to pose for a picture, she sticks her hip out and put her hand on it. She really mastered it by the end of the summer. She has the attitude of a 16 year old in this picture...I think I should be concerned.
