Given that Sara has been in daycare now for almost 2 months, I think it's safe to say that I'm a little behind in posting this. After 6 wonderful months of having Sara home with me, it was time to face reality and have Sara join the boys at daycare. Fortunately, I know the infant room teachers since Jack was in the same room when he started so it made things a little easier in that respect. None the less, it was hard to leave her behind especially knowing I had to head home to go to work. :-(
Day 1 went well for the most part and Sara was happy and played with the teachers and other babies in the room. However, we ran into a road block when she refused to take a bottle from anyone in the room no matter what tactic they tried. I suggested that they bring in Will to see if she would possibly take it from him. So they tried it and brought him into the room right when she was ready to eat. When she saw him, they said she lit up and all he had to do was put his hand on the bottle along with the teachers and she happily drank the entire thing while she gazed up at him. I seriously think that is the cutest thing ever that she saw her brother and was immediately comforted.
Fast forward a month and a half and things are still going well. Sara seems to be doing really well at school and we have somewhat gotten into a routine. However, there is always the morning scramble to get everyone out of the house but that seems to happen no matter what we are doing.
