Happy 5 month birthday Sara! This month has been a busy one for us primarily because I started back at work the first week in February. I've been lucky to have a cute little work buddy with me since Sara doesn't start daycare until March. I know I say this each month but Sara is such a sweet, happy baby. For all the craziness in our house, Sara just hangs out and takes it all in. I guess as the third child you don't have much of a choice.
Here are a few highlights from the month.....
Play time - Sara has become so active this month and loves to play in her exersaucer, bouncy seat and even enjoyed being pushed around in a ride on car.
My little pumpkin was so sick but we didn't know until the next day. :-(
Bath time - Sara loves her baths especially when she gets to take one with the boys. She sits in her little bath seat and happily watches the boys play. It's getting a little tight with three in the tub but makes my life a lot easier to do one bath rather than two.
Big brotherly love - Sara loves her big bothers and intently watches everything they do. The boys love her just as much and get so excited whenever she does anything new. Will hears me tell Sara how beautiful she is so everytime he talks to her, he always says "My beautiful Sara". I will be reminding him of this one day when he is annoyed because his little sister is getting into all his stuff.
Sleeping - Hmm....we are not doing too well in the sleep department. I know I said last mont that she went backwards with sleep. I guess the good thing is that she hasn't gotten worse....but she hasn't gotten better either. So we are stuck with waking up a few times a night (I've lost track of how much because I'm usually pretty delerious at night). I've tried a variety of things to help....solid food, formula bottle before bed...crying it out for a little. And each has worked temporarily for a night or two but then we go right back to waking up a few times. Ugh...Sara this is one area we really need to start improving up and fast. Oh and Sara has also decided to give Eric a hard time when it comes to putting her to sleep. I'm pretty much the only one that can put her to sleep. Such a change from the boys who always wanted Eric!!
Eating - We tried giving Sara food this month in the hopes that it would help her in the sleep department. We started with a little rice cereal but she wasn't too keen on the idea. We tried a few times and finally by the end of the month she was getting used to the idea of eating and seemed to be enjoying it. I can't say I'm that excited to be starting food because not it's one more thing being added to the craziness in our daily routine.
Here are a few more pictures from the month......
